ABOUT DIABETES DAY:
WHAT? The 13th Annual Diabetes Day at the Capitol, an annual event to educate Kentucky's legislators and publicly recognize those who have made an impact on diabetes prevention and control in the past. The day will begin with advocacy training for all participants at 8:30 am. Visits with legislators will begin at 10:00 am and the full sessions of the House and Senate are at 2:00 pm. Snacks and T-shirts will be provided for all participants.
WHEN?Thursday, February 9, 2012, from approximately 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
WHERE? Frankfort, Kentucky in the Capitol Annex building behind the State Capitol building.

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR LEGISLATORS:
The goal of Diabetes day is to educate our legislators about diabetes. The following is provided to help you:
If you tell us during registration that you intend to make an appointment, we will contact you later to find out the time of your appointment. We will maintain a list of appointments organized by the legislator's last name and will share that information with you via e-mail if you request it.
If you cannot make an appointment you may be able to attend with someone else who has already made one. You will be able to inquire onsite on February 9th about attending one of these scheduled meetings.
