Public Relations:

The Public Relations Workgroup’s primary responsibilities focus on promoting the entire KDN organization throughout Kentucky.  This is accomplished by:

• • Attending various health professional organizations annual meetings to share KDN organizational structure, educational resources and recruit new members.
  • Hold new member orientation meetings prior to each quarterly KDN meeting.
  • Maintain roster of active KDN membership, individual and organizational.
  • Update and promote the KDN organizational brochure and display materials. 

This workgroup also coordinates with the High Risk Population Committee to ensure that health equity is incorporated within all KDN activities/materials.  This includes highlighting cultural cornerstone activities at two meetings/year.

Resources available to promote the workgroup’s responsibilities include:

• Audiovisual equipment
  • TV/VCR combo
  • Video camera
  • Digital camera
  • Software for scrapbooking, slide presentations, etc.

The Public Relations workgroup is always looking for individuals to join our KDN campaign  mission -- highlighting past, present and future KDN accomplishments.
